Prismatic Springs in Yellowstone National Park

In the Midway geyser basin at Yellowstone National Park I discovered what I believe to be one of nature’s most beautiful gifts: Prismatic Springs. The striking, vibrant colors are so pure and bright it is quite fantastic. Even the mists rising from the springĀ are the same colors as the minerals and water of the spring! Walking up the board walk I saw mist of pink, blue, and yellow escaping into the air. I walked faster to discover what could be causing such a phenomena and what a sight met my eyes! These images attempt to paint a picture of the astonishing geothermal occurrence.
